Dear loyal Saltwater patrons,
Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year. We're excited about some new developments in the works for 2016. It's already been three and a half years since we opened our little neighborhood restaurant and we're ready to make some much needed improvements.
We've been making delicious food out of a 30-year old pizza oven and sadly it's just about ready to retire. We think that the time is ripe for a modest kitchen remodel that will allow us to produce food more efficiently and consistently.
With that in mind we've joined forces with a restaurant investment group, Equity Eats. We've been selected out of hundreds of applicants and we're now on their funding platform. The model is simple and it allows our supporters to provide us with the capital we need to successfully complete this project.
Looking forward to your next visit at Saltwater.
Saltwater is both a restaurant and oyster depot, where one can find rustic fare by Chef Matthew Elias.
Saltwater is a neighborhood oyster bar, restaurant and wine shop that is rooted in its respect for sustainably managed farmlands, shellfish producing water bottoms and folks that are engaged in the thoughtful gathering of food.
Saltwater welcomes local foragers, farmers, visitors and neighbors to partake in festive celebrations that honor the efforts of those who grow and gather our food.
We serve regional wines from an extensive bottle list as well on tap, direct from the winemaker to you. We shuck oysters moments after they have left the bay and welcome local fisherman to bring their catch to our kitchen door. Saltwater aspires to prepare these foods simply, to embrace the beauty of hospitality and extend graceful service. We hope to bring a sense of excitement to our community and celebrate the magnificence of the landscapes that surround us.
